Campus Council for Information Technology

Note from the Chair

The Campus Council for Information Technology provides advice and recommendations to the Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor and to the Vice Provost for Information and Educational Technology (IET) on educational and information technology and its use at UC Davis in support of instruction, research, administration, and public service.

The need to share computational resources in the research, educational, and administrative domains of the University has grown. The advice and recommendations that CCFIT provides will help the campus community transition from isolated resources to shared resources, and augment the shared resources and supporting infrastructure to improve the services provided. Because these changes will affect everyone – faculty, staff, and students – CCFIT needs input from all parts of the campus community. The forums we will sponsor this year will provide an avenue for this input. We also encourage you to contact us at the feedback email address below, or to email me directly (mabishop@ucdavis.edu). We look forward to hearing from you!
